With National Volunteer Week coming up between 21 and 27 May, I would like to acknowledge the incredible contribution made by our volunteers. From delivering Meals on Wheels to assisting at Community Sheds or taking care of our precious bushland areas, we are fortunate to have more than 400 volunteers who generously give up their time for our community. However, as the cooler months approach, we often have fewer volunteers on the ground.

So if you’ve ever considered volunteering, now is the perfect time to get involved. This year’s theme of National Volunteer Week is ‘Give a little. Change a lot’. And it’s true, giving up a small amount of time, you can make a very large impact, and meet new people in the process.
