Being involved in Local Government I am amazed by the high calibre of work projects we work on for our community.

We are always looking to the future and planning for our growing community to ensure we can maintain all the things we love about our municipality.

As a Councillor, I am privileged to be able to showcase our work with other local governments and the private sector. I recently shared the achievements of our Greening the Greyfields program at two conferences which attracted representatives from around the country.

The program is a world-first partnership initiative that would see property owners come together with their neighbours to amalgamate individual housing lots into one larger parcel of land. This larger precinct can then achieve better design outcomes and be transformed into new vibrant, active, healthy places to live.

I’m proud that Maroondah is leading the way on this new exciting initiative.
