Latest news from Cr Mazzuchelli

It’s nice to see that Maroondah is a very pet friendly municipality, with more than 14,330 dogs and 4,618 cats registered with Council.

I love seeing people out walking and socialising with their dogs, but it is important to remember that we all need to be responsible pet owners.

This includes things like registering your pet with Council, getting them microchipped and cleaning up after them when out walking.

For those who like to exercise their dogs in one of Council’s 35 off-leash areas, please make sure that your dog remains under effective voice control the whole time. And don’t forget that even in off-leash areas, dogs must be kept on-leash while on a shared path and within 15 metres of playgrounds or children’s play equipment; barbecue or picnic facilities; or any organised sporting events or training sessions.
