Many of Council’s parks and reserves have seen improvements recently, including the exciting addition of new play equipment and upgrades to facilities.

Some of the projects you might have noticed are the basketball courts at both Gilda Reserve and Mount View Reserve, which are now complete and visitors to Cheong Park will have noticed the addition of a new flying fox. Playground renewal works are also planned for Melview Reserve, in Ringwood North; Mundara (Cobain) Reserve, in Ringwood; and Andrew Reserve, in Ringwood, among others.

All playgrounds in Maroondah are regularly inspected and maintained to meet our community’s needs and the required Australian Standards. This includes upgrading equipment that has come to the end of its functional life.

Maroondah has more than 400 parks and reserves and 120 playgrounds, so there is no shortage of places to enjoy with the family. I encourage you to make use of these spaces with your family and friends.
