I had the pleasure last month of visiting Café on the Park, a social enterprise of Glen Park Community Centre to see firsthand how it is transforming the lives of young people in our community.

Hungry 4 Success, in conjunction with Campbell Page and EACH, operate the café and catering business at Glen Park, which is giving people an opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry.

This project is incredibly exciting, particularly for the young people who have played an important role in its development – from brand design, to menus.

Each time you visit the café you are not only supporting your local café, you are also supporting the people who live in our community. The community centre provides pre-accredited hospitality training for people wanting to re-enter the workforce, but more importantly it provides young people with an opportunity to rebuild their confidence through social engagement.

To find out more visit the Glen Park website.
