The finest cabaret, comedy and acrobatic talent from around the country is heading to Maroondah, and the magnificent Ringwood Spiegeltent is the stunning setting for all the action.

In a significant first for the region, Maroondah City Council and Eastland are bringing the Alex Spiegel Zelt to Ringwood in January for 11 fantastic days of frivolity, fun and superb performance.

Prepare to be transported as you immerse yourself in all the glorious wonder of this iconic late 19th century canvas big top, lavishly adorned with mirrors, stained glass, velvet and brocade.

The 11-day program scheduled between Wednesday 17 January and Sunday 28 January 2018, will have something for everyone.

By night, the Ringwood Spiegeltent hosts fabulous evenings and late-night shows for grown-ups, and by day transforms to a fun-filled children’s wonderland of school-holiday and family friendly shows.

For fans of sizzling, sassy cabaret and burlesque, Dolores Daiquiri is coming to town to host the Moonlight Burlesque show that will launch an amazing season of fun. Be amazed by Neon, the latest show from Circus Oz, or witness the extraordinary Dolly Diamond, the comedy cabaret diva.

For side-splitting laughs, Akmal and Lawrence Mooney will both be bringing their stand-up talent to the tent.

If you enjoy a good tribute show, you can’t go past Lucky, a high-energy cabaret of Kylie songs, while Belinda Davids presents The Greatest Love of All, as she celebrates the musical legacy of the late, great Whitney Houston.

Meanwhile, Oz Boyz will have you singing along to everything from Mowtown and Frankie Vallli & The Four Seasns to Bruno Mars, or join David Hobson and Colin Lane as they team up for a night of song and classy humour.

For youngsters, there’s How to be a Rock Star – a rock and roll comedy for children aged 5 and up. The Amazing Drumming Monkeys are back by popular demand, with their unique blend of puppetry, live music and comedy. And there are Mini Maestros workshops, too.

Enchanting for little fairies and parents alike, The Magical Fairy Show along with Fairy Lee invite you to put on your wings, gather some fairy dust and share in a magical woodland adventure and watch as flowers and rabbits magically appear.

While outside the 2018 Ringwood Spiegeltent features a special events space – The Secret Garden will be a place to discover new eats, meet friends, watch smaller live performances and be immersed by that special Spiegel vibe.

Situated in the heart of Ringwood between Ringwood Station and Eastland/Ringwood Town Square, the 2018 Ringwood Spiegeltent will see the entire precinct transformed for a carnival meets Mardi Gras extravaganza!
