Electric Line Clearance Management Plan

Council’s Electric Line Clearance Management Plan (ELCMP) reflects our commitment to the requirements of the Electricity Safety Act 1998 and Electricity safety (Electric Line Clearance) Regulations 2020 whilst providing high quality, best practice services to the community, ensuring long term viability of our tree asset population.

The ELCMP sets out the plan for tree pruning and inspection around powerlines and along Council roads for the 2022/2023 financial year.

The purpose of the Electric Line Clearance (ELCMP) is to prevent vegetation growing too close to electric lines. If it does, this can result in safety risks such as electrocution, fire (including bushfire) and diminished reliability of electricity supply.
