About Maroondah
The City of Maroondah is a municipality that blends the best of both city and country lifestyle and facilities. With a current population of around 100,000, Maroondah is home to 5,000 organisations that employ 27,000 people.
Maroondah City Council, in the spirit of reconciliation, acknowledges that we are on the land for which the Wurundjeri people have been custodians for many centuries, and on land which the Indigenous Australians have performed age old ceremonies.
We accept, respect and have shared with the Wurundjeri people in their customs of welcome.
The Wurundjeri people support the coming together of all people, respecting their individuality, to focus on a unified and cohesive nation.
