Social Support monthly outings

The Social Support monthly community outings are available to residents over 50 years of age who are socially isolated or who may be at risk of social isolation. Numbers are limited to 28 per outing.

The outings depart from the main entrance of the Croydon and Ringwood Service Centres between 8.30am to 10.30am on the day of each outing and return between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Bookings can only be made on the date and time specified for each outing and priority will be given to new residents, or those who have previously missed out on spaces.

Please note that details of the outings are correct at the time of publishing, but are subject to change without notice. At the time of booking the outing you will be notified of any changes.  

Conditions

  • A maximum of two seats can be booked by one person.
  • Payments for each outing are the responsibility of the resident attending the outing and will be paid directly to the venue.
  • No money/payment will be accepted by Council staff members.
  • All Maroondah residents attending the outings must be able to enter and exit a 12-seat bus without assistance.
  • Please note a maximum of four walkers can be taken on each bus. Please inform the office when booking the outing if you will be bringing a walker.  
  • No personal care will be available to those attending the outings.
  • Venues can change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Prices for entry and meals can change without notice. You will be notified at time of booking of any changes.
