Dad's invited to spend a Saturday in the park

Maroondah Dad’s are invited to spend a fun afternoon with their family at Glen Park Community Centre on Saturday 17 May.

Councillor Jo-anne Taylor said this special family day is supported by Council’s Maternal & Child Health service and is part of the Men and Family Relationships government funded program.

“Fun in the Park is an event which encourages fathers to spend time with their families, which can sometimes be difficult in today’s busy world,” said Cr Taylor.

“With face painting, jumping castle, treasure hunt, live music and so much more organised for the day, this event is sure to keep families on busy with a huge list of activities aimed at creating a fun and positive environment for families to enjoy,” said Cr Taylor.

“Bring along a picnic lunch, or enjoy the sausage sizzle and cordial drinks that will be available during the day,” said Cr Taylor.

Men and Family Relationship Services is a Federal Government initiative and works alongside men to assist them to manage a range of relationship issues.

This free family fun day will be held at Glen Park Community Centre, Glen Park Road, Bayswater, on Saturday 17 May from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
