Council has upgraded the existing stormwater system within Scenic Avenue and surrounding catchments, in response to ongoing concerns with stormwater flooding in the area.

In response to ongoing concerns of stormwater flooding in Scenic Avenue, Ringwood East, Council worked with consultants to develop a plan to alleviate the flooding of properties in Scenic Avenue and the surrounding catchments draining into the AFB Long Reserve before discharging into Melbourne Water assets.

The full scope of works included:

  • Stage 1 - Design
  • Stage 2 - AFB Long Reserve Improvement Works
  • Stage 3A - new easement drain in property 23 Alexandra Road
  • Stage 3B - Drainage easement pipe upgrading from Dublin Road to 23 Alexandra Road
  • Stage 4 - Drainage upgrade in Alexandra Road to Scenic Avenue and Vista Avenue
