Earth Hour 2017

Earth Hour is a global environment movement uniting people to protect the planet.

Council will be hosting a number of workshops to provide information on sustainable living, including gardening, transport and making sustainable changes to your home.

This is the 10-year anniversary of Earth Hour – and the theme this year is Join the Future. To celebrate we are hosting a series of community workshops and displays on Saturday 25 March at Realm in Ringwood Town Square.

The activities are a result of the community consultation activity undertaken earlier this year and aim to inspire and encourage the creation of sustainable homes, gardens and transport choices.

Trash Puppets Children’s Workshop

Getting to the event

Train

Realm is opposite Ringwood Station, which is on the south side of Maroondah Highway. Ringwood Station is on the Belgrave and Lilydale lines.

Bus

The Ringwood bus interchange is in the Ringwood Station forecourt; bus services include:

  • Bus 370 Ringwood – Mitcham via Ringwood North
  • Bus 380 Ringwood – Croydon via Croydon and Croydon Hills

Bicycle

Bicycle racks are available in Ringwood Town Square.

Wheelchair access

Ramp and lift wheelchair access to Ringwood Town Square are available from the car park on the Ringwood St and Warrandyte Rd sides. rop off zones are located on Maroondah Highway in front of Cycles Galleria and Realm.
