Visit the Art Gallery or meander through landscaped native gardens and history trails that encircle the Estate. Enjoy the all abilities playspace, admire striking tree carvings and discover interesting insights into the Estate’s unique architecture and history which includes the State Heritage-listed 1920s former Ringwood School House. The Cultural Centre also houses an artist’s workshop, and exhibition and studio spaces, leased to community groups.

The Lifestyle Centre at Federation Estate contains light, bright and modern function rooms, meeting and performance spaces, catering for all abilities. Surrounded by views of tranquil native gardens, groups hold meetings, seminars, workshops, exercises classes and music performances in air-conditioned comfort. There is ample on-site parking and a kitchenette as well as fresh and diverse catering options for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Rooms and the spacious, central courtyard are available for casual or regular hire.

AMazing Space is an award-winning play space suitable for people of all ages and abilities to come together in learning, play and friendship. AMazing Space includes exciting and innovative equipment and designs, themed around the four elements of fire, wind, water and earth, and aims to enhance the senses of touch, vision, sound and smell. Features include a wheelchair-accessible sand pit and attractive gardens as well as accessible seating, car parks and toilet.

Cultural Centre

The Cultural Centre is a place of learning, work and creativity. Located in the historic Ringwood Primary School building are:

  • community organisation offices
  • a community workshop.

Lifestyle Centre

  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Closed public holidays

Located in the purpose-built addition, the centre contains a function rooms and a kitchenette, which cater for visitors of all abilities.

The centre is home to Maroondah City Council's:

  • Social Support 
  • Meals on Wheels. 

It is a vital recreational, social and community resource and is an excellent venue for a variety of performance groups, leisure, recreation and social clubs.
