Learn to be more efficient and follow a healthy and nutritional lifestyle.

Participants will be given opportunities to contribute to discussions and have a hands-on experience to prepare easy meals, with a tasting afterwards.

The program will run for four-weeks and help you build up your skills.

This program is aimed at people 65 years and older. 

Topics

  • Simple healthy recipes (including a weekly practical cooking skills segment)
  • Healthy snacks and the changing nutritional needs of seniors.
  • Tips for decluttering your kitchen and utilising your workspace.
  • Fatigue - tips and shortcuts for energy conservation.
  • Kitchen safety for poor vision, balance, hearing, or weak arms and hands.
  • Share ideas to reduce food waste and save money.
  • Safe food handling and storage ideas.
  • Guest speakers and morning tea provided.
