Libraries
The City of Maroondah has major libraries at Ringwood and Croydon. Both libraries offer a wide range of print, audio and video materials for on-site reference and loan.
Library members can borrow books, videos, CDs, audio books and magazines. Internet access is available and there is a Business Information Collection. There are pre-school story times for young children, holiday activities for school children and book clubs and other community programs for adults.
Both Ringwood and Croydon Libraries are under the umbrella organisation called the Eastern Regional Libraries. The ERL covers libraries in the municipalities of Maroondah, Knox and the Yarra Ranges shire. It helps provide all these libraries with special resources such as family history searches and special internet sites for children and teenagers.
