You can enter up to 3 photos, with each no larger than A4.

What type of photograph can be entered?

It's up to you!

Anything about Maroondah that is special to you - it could be your favourite place, people enjoying their hobbies, a picnic in the park, celebrating a special occasion, riding a bike, a community event, sports or spectators, enjoying a special place, almost anything! There are lots of possibilities out there . . .

The photos must be taken within the City of Maroondah and taken after 1 July 2007. Make sure you provide a caption for your photograph and be sure to get permission if taking photos of other people.  Photos can be any size up to A4 (21 x 30cm).

Entry categories and prizes

Open Section - open to everyone aged 18 years and over

1st Prize - Digital camera to the value of $500
2nd Prize - 3 Hoyts La Premiere double passes

All photos entered need to have been taken after 1 July 2007, and within the City of Maroondah. Be sure to add a caption to your photo.

Intermediate section - 13 to 17 years
 
1st Prize - Digital camera to the value of $200
2nd Prize - 4 Hoyts movie passes and a La Premiere double pass

The intermediate section is especially good for secondary students. Every photo must be taken within Maroondah and taken after 1 July 2007. Ensure each photo is accompanied by an appropriate caption.

Junior Section - up to 12 years

1st Prize - Digital camera to the value of $100
2nd Prize - 4 Hoyts movie passes

The junior section is especially good for primary school students. Each photo must have been taken recently - after 1 July 2007. Be sure to send in a caption with your photo, which must feature a subject within the City of Maroondah.

Mayor’s Encouragement Award

Prize - $200 Eastland Shopping Voucher

This award is made by the Mayor at the award ceremony.

Special Exhibition

This year’s entries will be on exhibition at Maroondah Federation Estate, from Friday 4 July to 1Saturday 26 July.

How to enter

You must complete and sign the Entry Form (see below).

Write on the back of each photograph:

• your name

• your address

• your telephone number

• the photo’s caption

• where the photo was taken

It's best to use pencil or felt pens as biros indent the photos, or attach a sticker to the back of each photograph.
