  • a place for all the community to utilise for recreation pursuits
  • incorporates a complete environmental management philosophy using environmentally sustainable design principles, including sustainable materials and improves energy efficiency
  • pool engineering that includes water and energy conservation options

  • consideration of fundamental issues such as corrosion, insulation, durability of materials and safety issues of materials

Elements of the facility

  • a 50 metre 10 lane pool to FINA standards. Twin booms create a variety of different water spaces for lap swimming, swimming carnivals, club training and competition, diving, water polo, synchronised swimming and other programmed activities
  • enhanced diving facilities, again to FINA standards, with a 10 metre diving tower. It will allow training and competitions to be held without impacting other aquatic users
  • a warm water program pool – for rehabilitation and therapy needs that will be larger than the current pool
  • a dedicated learn to swim pool, which is currently not provided
  • a playpool with beach entry and splash play will replace the current 40sqm wading pool
  • a dry diving training room - enabling clubs to establish a more effective training routine, and providing divers, from beginner to elite, an opportunity to perfect their technique in a more controlled environment
  • new dry leisure facilities include a gymnasium, three group fitness rooms, an outdoor training area, and a childcare facility
  • family and accessible change rooms, in close proximity to the main water bodies.
  • change rooms for our school children who participate in the primary schools learn to swim program.
