Rates
An important function of every Council is the collection of rates. Rates revenue, along with Council's other income, is used to provide services and facilities for the enjoyment and safety of the whole community. For example, tree planting, road construction, youth services, leisure and aquatic facilities, and aged care are just some of the services provided by Council to the community.
