When opening up the footpath, nature strip and the kerb and channel to connect to various services in the street, a Road Opening Permit is required to be taken out by the property owner or representative.
If the asphalt needs to be opened up and the contractor requests Council to reinstate the road, the cost to the contractor is $110 per square metre with a minimum reinstatement of 1 square metre.
