Run Maroondah is all about challenging yourself within a supportive environment – whether that means taking on the 10 kilometre challenge or the 5 kilometre run/walk.

The aim is to encourage individuals and families to take part in physical activity together.

The kids race will begin at 8am, followed by the 10 kilometre race at 8.30am and the 5 kilometre race at 9am.

Thanks to Active Feet and Adidas there are also 8 pairs of running shoes up for grabs!

After you've completed your 10 kilometre run or 5 kilometre run/walk, you can also check out your time results and see how you've gone.

Registration

Registration has now closed for Run Maroondah 2016. Please note: you cannot register on the day.

Duration

Even though Run Maroondah is timed, please make sure you participate at a level that is comfortable for you and your family.

Typically, a 5 kilometre run should take approx 35 minutes and a 10km run should take approximately one hour and 15 minutes.

Cost

Concession or child entrant: $15.00

Individual: $25

Family of up to four people: $50 (additional members $10 per person)

Thursday 7 July — Launch event

6pm to 6.30pm: introduction to Run Maroondah and the importance of the right shoe brought to you by Active Feet and Adidas.

6.30pm to 7.30pm: track session with trainer Bec Rosel.

This session will be held in the Glen Frost Room Croydon, next to Croydon Library.

Wednesday 13 July — Maroondah Runners Club Track Session

6.30pm to 7.30pm: coached interval/sprints/fartlek session.

This session will be held at Croydon Athletics Track.

Thursday 21 July — Information session

6pm to 6.30pm: introducing your new best friend… the foam roller.
6.30pm to 7.30pm: track session with trainer Bec Rosel.

The session will be held at Maroondah City Council's Croydon Offices in the Yarra Valley Room.

Wednesday 10 August — Maroondah Runners Club Track Session

6.30pm to 7.30pm: coached interval/sprints/fartlek session.

This session will be held at Croydon Athletics Track.

Thursday 25 August — Information session

6pm to 6.30pm: fueling your body. 
6.30pm to 7.30pm: track session with Maroondah Leisure.

This session will be held in the Glen Frost Room Croydon, next to Croydon Library.

Thursday 8 September — Information session

6pm to 6.30pm: taper time – how to best prepare for race day. 
6.30pm to 7.30pm: track session with trainer Bec Rosel.

This session will be held in the Glen Frost Room Croydon, next to Croydon Library.

Wednesday 14 September — Maroondah Runners Club Track
Session

6.30pm to 7.30pm: time trial on track.

This session will be held at Croydon Athletics Track.
