Services for stroke survivors

A guide to services in Maroondah for stroke survivors and carers

This guide to services in Maroondah was developed by Maroondah City Council as part of the MetroAccess Project with the assistance of members of the Croydon Stroke Support Group.

The guide is a valuable tool for stroke survivors just released from hospital, carers of stroke survivors and long term stroke survivors.

The development of the Guide commenced with Community Development students from Swinburne TAFE in Prahran interviewing members (stroke survivors and carers) of the Croydon Stroke Support Group. The objective was to get an understanding of what services would be of use to them now, and what services they wish they had known about when they were first released from hospital.
