Maroondah City Council runs and assists with many artistic and cultural events every year. These events are often free and designed to entertain the whole family. There's something for everyone with Australia Day celebrations in January,right through to Maroondah Festival in November and Carols by Candlelight in December.

Parks and walking and bike paths

Maroondah Federation Estate is a cultural and arts facility located on the site of the former Ringwood Primary School. The facility's grounds include landscaped gardens, tree sculptures, a Sensory Time Trail, onsite parking, and a courtyard capturing the Footsteps of Federation. ‘AMazing Space’ is an accessible playspace featuring exciting and innovative equipment, and provides an opportunity to involve the human senses in the play experience.
Located at Maroondah Federation Estate, the Maroondah Art Gallery is well known for its diverse exhibitions program, including local, national and international touring shows.
The Karralyka Centre is the premier theatre and function centre of the east. The fully equipped theatre hosts a professional theatre season, the annual Morning Music program, and a range of community performances.
Wyreena Community Arts Centre is set within a magnificent historical estate featuring gracious buildings. The conservatory café overlooks an adventure playground all set within four acres of delightful gardens. The Centre offers an abundance of arts and cultural experiences including a gallery exhibiting work by local artists.
Maroondah's public transport needs are served well with two railway stations and an extensive bus network.
