Request to build on land subject to flooding or overland flow
A property owner, or their representative, is required to obtain consent for the construction of a building/structure on land that is designated as flood prone or liable to overland flows. This is in accordance with section 802 and 806 of the Building Regulations 2006
Consent may be granted only where the building/structure does not unreasonably impede the natural drainage conditions of the land.
Application form
Submit your application to Council’s Engineering & Infrastructure Services area for assessment, together with the $227.25 fee, which is in accordance with section 312 of the Building Regulations 2006.
