The Ringwood Western Gateway Urban Design Review has been prepared to provide urban design support for an urban form vision for Ringwood’s Western Gateway.
The document builds upon the Ringwood Transit City Urban Design Masterplan (August 2004).
Ringwood Western Gateway
The Gateway is the entrance to Maroondah for those travelling along Maroondah Highway and the railway line. It is positioned at the western edge of the Central Activities District, where there is a transition to higher density development and three major transport corridors - Maroondah Highway, the Belgrave/Lilydale Railway line and Eastlink.
The immediate surroundings also provide panoramic views eastwards from its elevated position to the Dandenong Ranges and Wicklow Ridgeline.
