Latest news from Cr Spears

The past few months have been a challenging time for our community, and our local businesses have felt the impact.

As a member of the Maroondah Business Advisory Committee I have heard first hand the struggles many businesses face in Maroondah. Some have had to close temporarily, others have adapted their way of doing business, while others have had to deal with an increase in demand.

It is great to see our BizHub team have continued to support businesses through this time with a number of initiatives.

They have contacted thousands of Maroondah businesses to speak to them about what support they need and how Council can assist. This includes offering free mentoring sessions with a business expert who can provide advice based on each business’ unique situation.

I encourage those businesses who haven’t yet reached out for support to do so. For more visit the BizHub website or call 9298 4679.
