Thanks to the community for their views, thoughts and ideas on the future of golf in Maroondah. The outcomes of the consultation, held from 10 November 2019 and 26 January 2020, will inform Stage Two of the Maroondah Golf Strategic Review

Stage Two of the review will include the development of a comprehensive strategy that will help guide the future of golf in Maroondah and ensure its long-term sustainability.

Council owns and operates two 18-hole golf courses in Maroondah – Dorset Golf and Ringwood Golf – collectively known as Maroondah Golf.

Council extends its thanks to everyone who took part during our extensive community consultation process for Stage One of the Maroondah Golf Strategic Review.

The review sought to further explore ways in which Maroondah’s two golf courses could be developed into contemporary golf facilities based on two proposed key elements:

  • golf experiences and facilities
  • sport and recreation opportunities.

Throughout the consultation phase more than 4,100 people visited the Your Say Maroondah project page and 1,125 submissions were received.

The feedback received from the community undertaken during the consultation period has been analysed and a consultation report has been prepared highlighting key themes, concerns and recommendations emerging from the feedback.

A detailed report on consultation outcomes can now be viewed on the Your Say ‘Maroondah Golf Strategic Review’ project page

The feedback received from the community will now be used to inform the next stage of the review, and subsequently the development of a draft Maroondah Golf Strategic Review.
