School holiday program - primary school

Council provides a high-quality, professional, flexible and fun vacation care program for primary school aged children.

Our program offer children:

  • secure and consistent care
  • a program that is child-focused, fun, interesting and stimulating
  • a variety of recreational experiences and opportunities
  • an environment that maintains a high standard of health, hygiene, safety and nutrition and where children are guided in appropriate routines.

Who is the program for?

The program provides care for children aged 5 to 12 years of age who are currently attending primary school. 

When and where is it held?

  • Springfield Hall - Corner of Springfield Avenue and Mt Dandenong Road, Croydon 3134.
  • Due to Victorian Government advice and the number of local exposure sites, Council will not run Vacation Care for the September school holidays.
  • The January school holiday program will be held from Tuesday 4 January 2022 - Friday 21 January 2022.

Enrolment

To attend Maroondah Vacation Care all children must have a completed online enrolment on the HubHello parent portal. Please enrol using the following link:

Springfield

Once you are enrolled at Springfield Vacation Care, you will be able to book your child into the upcoming program using the BookMe section of the parent portal.

If you would like to be added to the mailing list for our Vacation Care program please enrol your child using the links above.

Child Care Subsidy

Child Care Subsidy is available to eligible families who have linked their MyGov account. Families are able to link their account once they have an active enrolment with one of our Vacation Care services. 

Please note

  • Families must confirm each new enrolment period on MyGov to receive their Child Care Subsidy payment.
  • Child Care Subsidy is not paid to families for any days the child/ren hasn’t yet physically attended the service for the first time for the current enrolment period.
  • Child Care Subsidy is not paid to families for any days after the child/ren physically attended the service for the last time for the current enrolment period. 

Medical conditions

The vacation care program complies with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Framework.

If your child suffers from a medical condition, you will also need to provide details of special needs and any management procedures to be followed with respect to the special need.
