Playground improvement works will be undertaken at Ambrie Reserve in Ringwood.
The improvement works are to replace the existing playground equipment with:
- a large combination play unit including two slides
- a 3-bay community swing (with toddler, flat seat and nest)
- a Comet spinner
- a Horse Straddle rocker
- a see-saw
The design has allowed for interactive and imaginative play for all ages and abilities to utilise the space.
Council will also take the opportunity to replace and enhance the existing open space infrastructure including:
- landscaping with planting and mudstone rocks
- providing a fully sealed (concrete) path access to the playground
- installing two new modern seats
- installing a new modern picnic table
The works are expected to commence in March 2022 and are estimated to be completed by the end of April 2022, subject to weather conditions. The site will be fenced and inaccessible to the public during the construction works.
