Controlled burn at BJ Hubbard Reserve, Ringwood North.jpg

A controlled burn is planned for Friday 8 April at BJ Hubbard Reserve, Ringwood North.

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) conducted an ecological and fuel reduction burn within B.J Hubbard Reserve on Friday 8 April 2022.

The burn was conducted according to the burn plan developed by the CFA.

During any burn there will inevitably be smoke, however the CFA do what they can to minimise smoke.

Should residents be affected by smoke on the day, you are advised to remain indoors with windows and doors closed or alternatively you may choose to leave the area for the day.

These planned burns are used in the maintenance of our native ecosystems and the burn within the Reserve area will aim to reduce fuel loads and regenerate indigenous plant species.
