Eastfield Road Infrastructure Enhancement Works

Council has completed enhancement works on Eastfield Road in Ringwood East.

The Federal Government is funding infrastructure enhancement works in Eastfield Road, Ringwood East through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

Key elements of the enhancement works include:

Construction of a footpath on the North side of the road between Mt Dandenong Road and Dunn Street - completed.
Construction of the laneway (in concrete) opposite Miller Grove between Eastfield Road and Grey Street - completed.
Construction of two pedestrian refuges located at the eastern and western ends of the works area - scheduled for February/March 2023.
Widening of the Dunn Street intersection to improve bus turning movements - completed.
Reconstruction of the existing concrete kerb and channel on both sides of the road including lifting the north side kerb to improve vehicle access to properties - completed.
Reconstruction of vehicle crossovers - completed.
Road pavement renewal works - scheduled for February/March 2023.
Other signage and line-marking upgrades - scheduled for February/March 2023.

Works update

As of 9 December 2022, all concreting works (kerb, vehicle crossing, footpath, laneway and stormwater pit reconstruction) have been completed.

Prestige have demobilised for the Christmas holiday period and will be returning in February to complete the remainder of the works (pavement reconstruction, pedestrian refuge construction and linemarking).

Due to unprecedented weather impacts, the works are now expected to be complete by the end of March 2023.
