Council will be undertaking drainage improvement works along Warrandyte Road, Ringwood.
The works will involve the installation of additional drainage infrastructure within Warrandyte Road from Bedford Road to the railway bridge.
Update on works
Following a review of the traffic impacts in the area with the recent covid-19 restrictions easing resulting in shopping centres reopening and school students returning to school, Council has determined that the remaining drainage upgrade works in Warrandyte Road will be completed as night time works. No further works will be undertaken during day time to minimise the impact on motorists.
‘The night time works are scheduled to re-commence on Wednesday 27 January 2020 and will be completed in approximately one week, subject to weather. Normal working hours will be Sunday to Thursday, 9pm to 5am (as required).
To facilitate a safe working environment for the public and the contractors, it is also necessary to implement appropriate traffic controls as works progress. This will include the closure of Warrandyte Road to northbound traffic, between Bedford and Maroondah Highway during working hours, with alternative traffic detour routes signed.
It is anticipated that minor delays will occur throughout the works, however, the contractor will endeavour to minimise these delays as much as possible.
