Maroondah Arts and Resilience Awards

Nominations for the Maroondah Arts and Resilience Awards have now closed. Keep an eye on the Arts In Maroondah Facebook page to hear about the nominees.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an immediate and severe impact across all levels of the arts and creative ecosystem. From reduced opportunities for arts and cultural participation within the community, to impacts on the viability of creative industries, the effects of the pandemic have been wide-reaching.

Arts and cultural activity is a key ingredient in the liveability of Maroondah, and the recovery of our local creative network is integral to a return to quality of life for the whole community.

To acknowledge the important role the arts and creativity have played in our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, Council is hosting the Maroondah Arts and Resilience Awards.

The awards will be open to Maroondah-based artists, creatives and groups across all art forms who have demonstrated innovative approaches and made outstanding contributions to the community during these very difficult times.

Award recipients will be offered exciting prizes and services provided by Council including performance opportunities, rehearsal space and an artist in residency program.

The award winners will be announced at the Awards which will be presented at an event (COVID restrictions permitting).
