About the artists

Myra Carter

Myra Carter is an abstract artist who enjoys creating vibrant and textural works.

Originally from Scotland she now lives in Warrandyte, Victoria surrounded by birds and wildlife. The beauty of nature is her inspiration.

Through her art, Myra aims to spread a feeling of joy and delight in celebrating the beauty of colour.

Her artistic process involves letting the artwork talk to her as she develops the interplay of different textures and colours on canvas.

Myra is excited by the dynamic process involved in abstract painting and seeks to express emotion through her work.

Kellie Hoinville

Kelly is a self-taught photographer with a passion for the natural world and the diversity of life that shares our earth.

She’s travelled to over twenty-five countries in the last decade, capturing people and places along the way. Kelly’s uses one camera, two lenses and minimal post-production editing in her work. She’s also working to minimise her carbon footprint and impact on the environment by using repurposed, recycled and eco-friendly products.

Kelly’s work is centred around portraiture, landscapes, wildlife, travel and street photography.

Kelly’s passion for the environment and interculturalism can be seen throughout her work. She hopes that through viewing her photography, people will develop a love, appreciation and understanding for the beautiful diversity of life on our planet.

Kelly hopes the audience feels a sense of connection with another person or place on the other side of the world.
