About the exhibition
Room to Reverse phrases the scenario when there is still space to take action or change. This exhibition presents individual and collective visions on industrial sustainability and climate change.
We are living in a critical time with a brief window of opportunity to reverse the effects of climate change and secure a liveable and sustainable future for everyone.
Room to Reverse has invited artists and the community to: recreate through upcycling of materials, rewrite stories from the individual and community point of view, renew hope, and reclaim our own role in combatting climate change.
Seven artists and a local kindergarten group have responded through a range of art forms including: video, sound, sculpture, textiles, and prints. Artworks include wearable art made from plastic sandwich tags, woodwork from recycled timber, a scarecrow made from rubbish and sound recordings responding to the climate crisis.
