This is one of several nature discovery activities being held in Maroondah designed to encourage participation in the 2022 Great Southern Bioblitz from Friday 28 October to Monday 31 October.

Discover some of the wild plants and animals that are found in and around Maroondah. Come prepared with the iNaturalist app downloaded on your smartphone so your observations can be counted towards Maroondah’s statistics in the Bioblitz. 

Please note you may be walking on uneven ground, encounter stinging or biting insects, tripping hazards such as fallen branches and potholes. Please stick to the trails. 

  • Date: Monday 31 October 2022
  • Time: 10am to 12noon
  • Location: Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve, Croydon North. Meeting point information will be sent following registration.
  • Facilitator: David DeAngelis - Professional ecologist - Reptiles, frogs, general plants
  • What to bring: Dress for the expected weather, closed footwear for uneven ground, smartphone (with iNaturalist App).

Please note there is a maximum of 30 participants. Please complete a new booking for each participant.
