David Billimoria

David Billimoria has been involved in community music since he was a youth, playing with a number of bands in Eastern Melbourne. He joined the Croydon Wind Symphony over 20 years ago and since then has been involved in every aspect of the band as a musician, committee member, band manager, and since 2014, a Musical Director. 

In more recent years, David has been regularly involved with the Croydon Parish Players as a musician, Assistant Musical Director (Sound of Music) and Musical Director for Fiddler on the Roof.

David’s Christmas wish is for more members of the community to be involved in community music. Maroondah has so many musical ensembles to choose from including bands, orchestras, choirs, theatre groups and many more, all of whom gladly welcome new members.

Lucy Holmes

Lucy Holmes comes from a musical background and a degree in Music Theatre (singing, acting and dancing), Lucy has worked as a television host, radio host, professional singer, actress, recording artist, voiceover artist, MC and model.

Lucy has been heard on 89.9 Light FM in Melbourne over the last 10 years, every morning from 6am as part of the award-winning Lucy and Kel breakfast show.

She is also the star behind Australia’s most successful corporate act and tribute show, ‘100% Kylie’, with the real Kylie Minogue calling the show ‘the best act’ in the world. This large-scale stage show has toured the world full-time for over 17 years, selling out shows in over 16 countries.

Lucy recently starred as Kylie in the biggest TV show of the year in the UK, ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’, which was aired to over 15 million people on Christmas Eve on the BBC.

Since graduating from Federation University’s Arts Academy in 2010, Lauren has been involved in both theatre and screen performance. Her highlights include touring educational shows in schools, a feature film called ‘Frankie’, and travelling to Scotland to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in a cabaret.

Lauren has recently been involved in the Croydon Parish Players production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in her dream role of Belle, and was also in ‘Anything Goes’ as the eccentric but lovable Bonnie.

Lauren wishes to tell Santa that she has been a good girl this year, and hopes you have a wonderful night full of Christmas magic.


Keenan Te

Keenan Te is an up and coming singer from Melbourne. He has been on national TV numerous times, and was recently featured on The Voice Australia, where his audition has been viewed over 1 million times. Keenan has caught the attention of many industry heavyweights and was recently named as one of the top 11 Australian finalists for Simon Fuller’s global pop group, Now United.

Keenan’s loyal fan base is rapidly growing and his increasing online presence sees him boasting over 14,000 followers on Instagram, with hundreds of thousands of views, comments and likes. Keenan is excited to be singing at his first Maroondah Carols!

As a performer, singer and teacher, Stephen strives to spread, inspire and share the intricacies and beauty that music has to offer. Stephen has performed in many roles and productions through the Operatic, Operetta and Musical Theatre genres. Stephen is a past member of the Opera Scholars Australia Program, where he was a part of the program for five seasons.

Stephen currently performs with the Victorian Opera, Victorian Concert Orchestra and other operatic companies.

As a versatile musician, namely known for his diverse repertoire and emotionally driven performance, Stephen strives to inspire his vocal students and audiences through sharing the intricacies and beauty that music has to offer, supported by a strong vocal technique and adoration for an art-form accessible to all.

Maroondah Carols Band - Croydon Wind Symphony & Maroondah Brass Band

The Croydon Wind Symphony is one of three bands that make up the Croydon Citizens’ Bands which has been providing music to our community since 1962.

In 2017, the Croydon Citizens’ Bands achieved a tremendous feat – winning a brass band national championship and two state concert band championships in one year. In 2018, the Croydon Wind Symphony followed this up with second place at the Australian National Band Championships.

The Croydon Citizens’ Bands comprise over 80 musicians across three bands (Croydon Brass Band, Croydon Wind Symphony and Croydon Concert Band) and we perform regularly for the local community.

The Croydon Wind Symphony doesn’t hold auditions and members attend weekly rehearsals to join in the fun. They perform at community events like the Maroondah Festival and Carols by Candlelight and organise our own events including band camps and concerts.

Serving and representing Maroondah for over 100 years, the Maroondah Brass Band has had many performance and competition successes and is proud of its service to the community of Maroondah and wider Melbourne.

The band is involved in several annual events including performing as the Maroondah Carols.

The band has an outstanding reputation throughout the music world and wider communities, accepting invitations all over the place and for various functions. Consisting of brass and percussion, the band is vibrant and energetic while always striving to entertain their audiences.

This innovative and progressive group’s desire is to provide opportunities to musicians in the Maroondah area, and to further develop and educate in all areas of musical performance. The band regularly competes and has been very successful over many years past and present, both as a band and with their various smaller ensembles and solo performers.

Vocal Vibes Chorus


The Vocal Vibes Chorus was formed in 2008 and is based in North Ringwood.

Vocal Vibes is a vibrant group of women who have a common love of singing and performing four-part harmony music in the barber shop style. They are members of the ‘Sweet Adelines International’, one of the largest women’s musical education organisations in the world and have performed at many events including community festivals and eisteddfods.
