Ringwood Spiders all-abilities - Football & Netball

Since 1992, the Ringwood Spiders Football Club (formally the Ringwood Blues) has provided Australian Rules football opportunities for people with a mild to medium intellectual disability within the City of Maroondah and surrounding areas of outer eastern Melbourne.

Our club has a strong position and history and has forged a long term relationship with the Maroondah City Council and other key local recreation and disability organisations.

Ringwood Spiders compete in the Football Integration Development Association (FIDA). FIDA was formed to implement an Australian Rules football program for people with mild to medium intellectual disabilities and has been successfully run since the early 90's.Ringwood Spiders is run by volunteers with the support of Maroondah City Council and sponsors, both corporate and individual.

The club has developed new opportunities to increase the participation of people with a disability in community grass roots sport and recreation. These include our Junior Development and Cheerleader sqauds along with our Netball program for girls and boys.

Visit our website to discover what it is to be part of Ringwood Spiders as we continue on our mission: 'To provide and promote active participation in community sport and social activities for people with a disability', and 'To provide people with a disability an opportunity to interact, participate and build social skills and leadership within the community'.
