Speak with a Planning Officer for advice on a straightforward proposal
Before submitting a planning application, you can discuss your proposal with Council. We offer free phone and in-person advice for straightforward proposals, including:
- two dwellings
- dwelling alterations and additions
- tree or native vegetation removal
- planning permit amendments
- signage
- restrictive covenants
- planning policy considerations and process.
This is a free service.
To discuss your proposal before applying for a planning permit:
Make an appointment with a Planning Officer
Appointments are provided by the rostered Duty Planner. You cannot book with a specific Planning Officer.
You can reschedule or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your appointment. For changes within 24 hours, please call the Planning team on 1300 88 22 33.
Submit a planning information request for a written response from Council
Submit a planning information request if you need a written response from Council about whether a planning permit is required for your proposal.
This is a fee-based service.
