Maroondah Complaints Policy 2021

Realm-building.jpg

In March 2020 a new Local Government Act was introduced in Victoria. Under Section 107 of the Act, all Councils are required to adopt and maintain a Complaints Policy with certain statutory inclusions. To meet our statutory obligation, Council has developed a draft Maroondah City Council Complaints Policy 2021 and we invite the community to provide feedback. The purpose of the Policy is to outline how Council manages complaints.

Over the past two years, Council has been working towards developing a long-term Strategy to shape the future liveability, wellbeing and resilience of the Maroondah community supporting community outcomes and key directions within Maroondah 2040: Our future together.

We are now keen to hear from the Maroondah community about their views on this Strategy.

Council is in the process of developing the draft Maroondah Sustainability Strategy 2021 to 2030.

Council is keen to understand your views on the information presented in the draft Sustainability Strategy Issues and Options Paper, in particular, on the various options presented for Council to pursue into the future as part of the Maroondah Sustainability Strategy Review. The feedback you provide will help shape the draft Sustainability Strategy. Further opportunities to provide feedback on the draft strategy, and the directions and actions that Council decides to pursue, will be available later in 2021.

COVID-19 Community Check-in

COVID-19 Spur.jpg

Between July and October 2020, Council surveyed the community to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic was affecting them and their families. The feedback received assisted us in developing the Maroondah COVID-19 Recovery Plan which was adopted by Council on 22 March 2021. The Plan sets out the intended community recovery outcomes for Maroondah in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Now 12 months on from our original survey, we are checking in with you to find out where you think support will be needed in the future. Your responses will continue to shape our community support initiatives and inform our long term recovery planning to ensure it responds to the changing needs and priorities of our community.
