Participation in regular physical activity improves mental health, maintains muscle mass and flexibility (reducing the risk of falls), helps retain independence and is great way to meet new friends.
However, the decline of our physical abilities as we live longer means we need to adapt physical activity to our abilities to maintain our physical health. Our walking sports program has been developed to our changing abilities as we get older.
Maroondah offers a variety of walking sports such as Walking Football, Walking Cricket, Walking Netball and Pickleball.
To see what's on download the Walking sports in Maroondah flyer (pdf, 2MB).
