African fabric collage

In this workshop led by artist Abouk Giir, you will be using a mix of African fabrics to create a striking artwork.

You will develop a detailed mosaic pattern from a selection of bold prints. This will involve using collage techniques to create compositions that draw upon the artist's floral designs. 

The workshop is part of the public program for the current exhibition Our Plants, Our Heritage at Maroondah Federation Estate Gallery and is supported by Maroondah City Council.
