Shopping excursions

Every fortnight you will be transported to Eastland to do your shopping or relax and enjoy a coffee by yourself or with friends!

This program offers a door-to-door transport service only.

Excursion details

• Where: Eastland Shopping Centre
• When: Trip runs every fortnight
• Pick up: from home between 9am and 10am and drop off between 12pm & 1pm
• Cost: $5.91 per trip

Important information

• You must be able to enter and exit a bus without assistance as it does not cater for wheelchair access.
• No personal support is provided in these programs. Council’s Shopping and Library bus programs require participants to be fully independent except for the transport support provided.
• Because of limited room on the bus, a maximum of 4 shopping bags per person is allowed on the return trip and you must be able to carry your own shopping. Our volunteers are not permitted to lift more than 5kgs in weight.
• The days and times of the activities vary depending on your home location and destination, and you will be advised of the schedule when you book your regular fortnightly program.

This class is part of Maroondah's Social Inclusion and Wellbeing program, which ensures that residents who are frail/aged, have a disability, or are socially isolated receive support to remain independent and continue to participate in the community.
