Our Councillor Code of Conduct was adopted on 15 February 2021 and incorporates the statutory requirements in accordance with section 139 of the Local Government Act 2020.

The purpose of the code

The code is intended to ensure that all our councillors operate to agreed standards of conduct and behaviour.

By agreeing to the code our councillors have demonstrated that they are committed to working together in the best interests of the people within our municipality, and to perform their responsibilities to the best of their skill and judgment.
