Notice of intention to release land - Bedford Park

Maroondah City Council (Council) gives notice under section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 (Act) of its intention to enter into a lease with Axicom Pty Limited ACN 090 873 019 for the operation and maintenance of a telecommunications facility in respect of the land shown hatched on the plan below, being part of the land contained in certificate of title volume 5956 folio 068 and known as 53C Bedford Road Ringwood (Land).

The key terms of the lease will be:

  • A term of 20 years.
  • An indicative Commencement Date of 15 March 2023.
  • A commencing rent of $30,000.00.
  • An annual fixed increase by 3% on the anniversary of the Commencement Date.
  • A permitted use being the provision of a telecommunications facility including installation, inspection, maintenance, construction, evacuation, replacement, repair, renewal, alteration, upgrade, cleaning, operation, access to and from and removal of the facility on the Land at the end of the term.
  • The tenant must pay all services, rates and taxes assessed in respect of the land.

A person may make a submission on the proposal in accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy.

Submissions must be made by Friday 7 October 2022 and may be sent by:

  • Email to maroondah@maroondah.vic.gov.au with the email subject line of “Submission - Intention to Lease Part 53C Bedford Road Ringwood”; or
  • Post to PO Box 156, Ringwood VIC 3134

After considering all submissions, Council will decide whether or not to proceed with the proposal.
