The Financial Plan outlines a 10-year financially sustainable projection detailing how the actions of the Council Plan will be funded to achieve the Maroondah 2050 Community Vision. This plan also provides the longer term financial roadmap, for assisting Council in ensuring that Council remains financially sustainable over a period of time, whilst adapting to uncertainty over the course of a 10-year period.

Broad engagement was conducted during both the development and review phases of the Maroondah 2050 Community Vision. This engagement included surveys, forums, workshops, and events with community members, stakeholders, advisory committees, and employees.

In accordance with the Local Government Act 2020, Council is required to prepare the Financial Plan following its deliberative engagement practices. Over five workshop sessions, a panel of 34 demographically representative community members provided their thoughts and feedback on the future community vision for Maroondah. The inputs and recommendations from this panel have helped to inform elements of Council's 10-year Financial Plan.
