This is achieved through research, maintenance of historical records and artefacts and education of the broader community through its publications and speaker programs.

The Ringwood & District Historical Society meet from February to November, on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm. Meetings are held at North Ringwood Community Centre, 35 Tortice Drive, North Ringwood.

The Ringwood & District Historical Society archives hold photographs, newspapers and historical research of local people, organisations and events.
Archives (125 Warrandyte Road, Ringwood North) open Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10am to noon, or by appointment other times.
