This free Celebrate Maroondah event will be a night of fun for all ages, with a special viewing of the movie 'IF'.

Bring your family and friends to Grayswood Reserve for an evening of fun for all ages, featuring a special screening of the film “IF” once the sun sets. Before the movie there will be kids’ crafts and activities along with roving entertainers for everyone to enjoy.

Pack your own picnic to enjoy, and if you are in the mood for a treat there will be vendors onsite to buy icecream and coffee.

Come and help us celebrate Maroondah at this wonderful community event!

  • Date: Saturday 21 February 2026
  • Time: Activities from 6.30pm. Movie will start approximately 8.15pm.
  • Venue: Grayswood Reserve, 23-25 Watermoor Avenue, Kilsyth South
  • Cost: Free
  • No bookings required
  • This is a smoke, vape and dog free family event
  • Please take all waste home with you.

What to bring

  • picnic rug
  • chair (low back only)
  • reusable water bottle
  • picnic dinner (you can help minimise waste with re-usable bottles and containers)
  • sunscreen
  • appropriate clothing for the weather
  • a torch if you will be walking home in the dark

Please do not bring anything that will block others view such as tents, marquees, and high back chairs.

approx. 8.15pm: Main entertainment

  • Screening of IF

Getting here

Walking

Grayswood Reserve can be accessed from Bungalook Walking Route and Dandenong Creek Trail.

 

Parking

Parking available on surrounding streets, we encourage you to allow some time.

 

Temporary parking restrictions will be in place along areas of Rendcombe Street to allow for bus and emergency vehicle access. "No standing" signs will be posted from Saturday morning until the end of the movie. See affected areas

 

Please make sure to read all signage when parking in the area.
