I am very excited about the progress being made to develop enhancement plans for Eastfield Park and Dorset Recreational Reserve. These plans will identify a distinct community vision for these popular recreational spaces, in the short, medium and long term. Currently, Dorset Recreational Reserve includes a nature-based playground, as well as walking and bike tracks, and is home to a local soccer and dart club. Eastfield Park is home to many sporting and recreational clubs, as well as Maroondah’s first dedicated dog park.

A big thank you to those who had their say about how they currently use these spaces and what we can do to maximise community enjoyment in them. Our community consultation included a survey as well as opportunities for face-to-face discussions in Main Street, Croydon - at Eastfield Dog Park and during the recent Celebrate Maroondah event at Canterbury Gardens. Council is currently considering the feedback gathered, and will release final plans in the coming months.
