Cr Linda Hancock

This is Linda’s first time on Council, being elected to the role in March 2022 following a by-election for the Wonga Ward. She has lived in Maroondah for more than 30 years, raising two children and playing an active role in community safety, as well as working with local school and sporting communities.

As a keen walker Linda has completed two Camino walks to raise awareness for mental health and the benefits of an active lifestyle. As part of her training she frequented the various walking trails and bush walks in Maroondah, including those in Wonga Ward.

As a Councillor she is looking forward to bringing community groups and organisations together to achieve greater outcomes and improve the perception of safety in our community. This includes ensuring neighbourhoods are accessible and well connected.
