Proposed lease of Council land
Pursuant to Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989, The Maroondah City Council hereby gives notice of its intention to enter into five Lease Agreements with The Scout Association of Australia - Victorian Branch over the following land and premises known as:
- 1st Croydon Hills Scout Hall
- 3rd Croydon Scout Hall
- 3rd Heathmont Scout Hall
- 3rd Ringwood East Scout Hall
- 7th Ringwood Scout Hall
The Leases shall be for a term of five years with an option for a further two terms of five years. Rental for the initial year has been set at $810 inclusive of GST, subject to annual adjustment in accordance with the terms of the Lease.
Submissions are invited in respect of this proposal in accordance with the provisions of Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.
Any written submissions regarding this proposal, received by Wednesday 29 July 2020 will be considered by Council at a meeting on a date and time to be determined by Council. Any person making a written submission may request to be heard in support of their submission, either in person or by a person acting on their behalf.
Council must take into consideration all submissions received and notify every person making a submission of the decision and the reasons for its decision.
