Proposed road discontinuance - Pitt Street Ringwood

Maroondah City Council gives notice under clause 3 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) that it intends to discontinue part of the road known as Pitt Street, Ringwood, being that part of the land contained in certificates of title volume 2583 folio 506 and volume 3041 folio 062 shown shaded grey on the plan below and transfer the former road to itself.

Any person may make a submission on the proposal. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing by 28 July 2020. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, and can be hand delivered to Council's Offices at Braeside Avenue, Ringwood 3134, or posted to the following address:

Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before Council (or a Committee established by Council for this purpose) or be represented by a person acting on his or her behalf, and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.

After considering all submissions, Council will decide whether or not to proceed with the proposal.
